Wow, I am really looking
forward to writing this week as to tell about the great things that happened.
This past week was a week that really stood out to me! I think about how
impactful it really was! Last week, we had some great lessons that really stood
out!
The first with a lady by the name of Mari. She is the lady that
works for the UN in Haiti but moved to Chile and she speaks perfect English! So,
we taught her the plan of salvation and everything seemed to click. as we
talked about a life before, Adam and Eve, and our purpose here on earth! She
really felt the spirit and was impacted by it a lot! She even accepted a baptismal
date and really wants to work towards it.
We also had a lesson on
Saturday with Alfonso who has a planned baptism for the 25th. He now doesn’t
have as many doubts and is learning a lot and has sincere desires to change and
become better!
On Saturday, Elder Scott
and I ran into a Black Lamborghini parked outside a paint shop which is very
rare to find here in the south Santiago area.....Perplexed, we walked up to it
and proceeded to talk to the guy about his car. (we think he is a rich drug
dealer) We started talking and stuff, and he let us get in! So I got in the car
put my hands on the wheel and had Scott do a photo shoot of me with our brick
phone. LOL. These guys got a kick out of two American Missionaries taking pics of
his car with a flip phone. hahaha. It was really funny!
Last Thursday, we had a
lesson with a member reference of a guy named Michael! He has a date and is a
really nice guy!
Ok on Wednesday, we had a
Mission reunion with the Rancagua Mission and I got to see Elder Halverson!
Best Valentines present ever! :) I hugged him and felt right to the bones! He
is skinny and is doing great! Such a cool mission moment meeting back up with
him! We only had a little time but we talked a little and caught up.
Seeing and hearing Elder
Christofferson was great. He is an Apostle of God! He spoke with power and his
insights were great! He shared about grace and repentance and about how baptism
is the final step of repentance! It was powerful.! It really got to me!
